ACCESSIBILITY AND COMPANION CARD BOOKINGS

FRINGE WORLD is dedicated to creating the best possible experience for all visitors to the Festival. The information on this page is provided for customers with access needs.

There are over 700 shows in the FRINGE WORLD Festival occurring across more than 130 venues spread right across WA. Only 18 of the pop-up venues that host ticketed shows are managed directly by FRINGE WORLD and all of these are wheelchair accessible.

Other ticketed venues are run independent of FRINGE WORLD and the Festival has no control over their accessibility.

The venues that FRINGE WORLD manages are those in the pop-up Festival hub environments at The Woodside Pleasure GardenThe Ice Cream FactoryYagan Square and FRINGE Central. The pop-up venues including circus tents, Spiegeltents and other non-permanent venues that are built for the Festival in these hubs. They have varying seating arrangements and seating is unreserved. As such, although all efforts will be made to ensure people in a party are seated together, it cannot be guaranteed.

We encourage patrons with access needs to choose a show that is highlighted as accessible and recommend that they then contact FRINGE WORLD before their show in order to ensure they have all the information about their venue that’s relevant to them and also to assist venue staff on site to help make their experience the best it can be and keep parties seated together if possible. FRINGE WORLD provides complimentary tickets to companion card holders to all shows in FRINGE WORLD managed venues.

Notifying FRINGE WORLD of your access requirements

If specific access requirements are needed we recommend that an email is sent to access@fringeworld.com.au at least 72 hours before the session if possible with your order number, phone number, and details of your specific access request.

Generally, early arrival is recommended and notifying Front of House staff once you and your party is at the venue so they can direct you to your seating.

We recommend contacting the venue directly for any advice when the venue sits outside of a FRINGE WORLD Hub (FRINGE Central, The Pleasure Garden, Ice Cream Factory, or Yagan Square) as FRINGE WORLD has no direct control of these venues.
